A day in Our Nursery
We offer full-time and part-time educational provision for our children. Places might be fully-funded, or part-funded depending on family circumstances.
The full time day:
Doors open at 8.30am to 8.40am for a flexible drop off
Session finishes at 3.30pm
We are delighted to announce that we now offer wraparound provision, BG BadGers in our Nursery, from 3.30pm – 6.00pm with a flexible pick up from 5.30pm.
The part-time day:
Morning session
Doors open at 8.30 to 8.40am for a flexible drop off
Session finishes at 11.30am
Afternoon session
Doors open at 12.30pm to 12.40pm for a flexible drop off
Session finishes at 3.30pm
A typical Nursery day will include the following learning opportunities:
Arrival, welcome and registration
Phonics lesson (20 minutes, two sessions in a full-time day)
- Phase 1 phonics learning including sound discrimination, rhyme, rhythm, alliteration, body percussion and voice sounds
Play and explore sessions (majority of the learning time)
- Activities are set up both inside and outside of the Nursery that are carefully planned to support learning
- Adults support and scaffold the learning during this time
- In the moment interventions take place to support individual children’s development
Adult led learning activities (four in a fulltime day)
- This learning includes three Mathematics lessons per week, Understanding the World, RE, PSHE, Literacy and Music*
* Music sessions are taught by our resident music specialist.
