Uniform standards

We believe that school uniform is an important part of school life and ask all parents and children to do their best to adhere to our dress codes and to appear neat and tidy at all times. Please see our uniform list.

Purchasing BG-branded uniform

BG-branded uniform should be purchased from our official supplier, Schoolwear Inc.

Some items are standard school uniform and can be found in high street stores and supermarkets (M&S, John Lewis, Tesco, Sainsbury etc.).

Labelling

Please label all clothing clearly and permanently using your child’s forename and surname. Where possible, please use sewn-in or iron-on labels.

Second-hand uniforms

Friends of Bishop Gilpin (FOBG) organises second-hand uniform sales. Please save any unwanted or outgrown uniform, particularly items with logos, that are in good condition. We can find new homes for them and make money for FOBG at the same time. 

Lost property

Property that is named will be returned to the child, all other property will be safely disposed of or given to charity.
